Production machines are the most important part of a production system. Machines need effective and efficient maintenance to be able guarantee support process run well. The steel industry is an that produces various types shapes with one being Computer Numerical Control (CNC) type BT-A16. These often have problems such as downtime interfere experience. purpose this research find out in CNC BT-A16 machine provide recommendations for improvements improve performance or Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). approach used Total Productive Maintenance by calculating OEE value. Problem analysis was carried through Focus Group Discussion expert judgment when determining Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) analysis. Research findings indicate cause engine not optimal comes from abnormal heat gearbox spindle components caused operator error inputting data. definite improvement making special schedule maintenance, checking all schedules, conducting training increase knowledge skills. results corrective action show value 70.8% 79.9% 9.1%, so will efficiency lathe.
